Job Summary

The role of a Live-in Care Worker at A1 Care is unique. You will become an integral part of the household, living with the client and supporting all aspects of their daily living. The care provided can range from helping a customer who is nearing the end of life, assisting a brain-injured young person, or supporting individuals with challenging behaviors due to medical conditions. Each day, you will build meaningful relationships with people from various walks of life, making this role immensely rewarding.

Live-in Care Workers provide custom care experiences, tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences, ensuring clients receive 24-hour support in their homes. Though the care is provided around the clock, Live-in Care Workers are given pre-arranged rest periods each day.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide personal care duties to clients.
• Administer medication as required.
• Use manual handling equipment where needed to support client mobility.
• Promote the health and well-being of clients by supporting them to live life to the fullest.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare work.
• Previous live-in care experience and knowledge.
• Empathy and understanding of clients’ conditions and their impact on loved ones.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care that respects the dignity and rights of clients.
• Emotional resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Covid vaccination.
• Willingness to become LTD (Limited Company).

Visa Sponsorship Details

• Candidates looking for visa sponsorship must meet the UK Government’s requirements for a Health Care Worker Visa.
• A1 Care requires the following from visa applicants:
  • At least 2 years of healthcare work experience.
  • A clean police record with proof provided.
  • A full CV showing all employment history and educational background.
  • Full Covid vaccination.
  • A driving license held for at least 1 year, with a commitment to applying for a UK driving license within the first year of living in the UK.
  • Proficiency in English, with proof of the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Minimum Level 2 Healthcare qualification.
  • Become LTD or willing to.

Becoming LTD

A1 Care supports live-in care workers in becoming a limited company (LTD), offering advantages such as limited liability, potential tax benefits, and easier access to loans and investment.
