Requirements

  • Strong background in .NET (C#), ASP.NET, MVC/MVVM, and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, HTML/XML, CSS, and working with IIS
  • A degree or equivalent practical experience in software development or systems engineering
  • Sharp communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional NHS teams
  • Ability to prioritise, solve complex tech problems, and guide junior staff
  • A hunger to research and learn emerging technologies

Salary Details
This Band 6 position offers a competitive salary between ÂŁ37,338 and ÂŁ44,962, aligned with NHS pay scales and benefits.

About the Role
If you’re keen to push the boundaries of clinical tech and love building smart systems that support real-world health decisions, this one’s for you. You’ll step into a high-impact software developer role in the Bespoke Development team, working on enterprise tools used Trust-wide.

You won’t be a cog. You’ll lead delivery. You’ll own solutions from brief to build, shaping integrations across clinical and administrative systems. Everything you do will feed into better NHS outcomes—from faster diagnoses to more joined-up patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and build of bespoke software that supports Trust-wide systems
  • Translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clinical teams to identify integration needs
  • Take ownership of projects using sound development, testing, and release principles
  • Offer technical mentorship and supervise other developers on the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues with precision and care
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evaluating new tech options
