Requirements

  • Registered SCPHN or Midwife with valid NMC registration
  • UNICEF BFI training certificate
  • Experience in infant feeding practice and staff development
  • Background in community leadership and collaborative work
  • Strong communicator with passion for making a lasting difference
  • Teaching experience or formal assessing qualifications
  • An understanding of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative
  • Enthusiastic about local partnerships and responsive care

Salary Details

You’ll earn between £46,148 and £52,809 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with Health Visiting Managers to improve breastfeeding rates
  • Develop infant feeding policies grounded in real community needs
  • Support and guide health professionals and volunteers across Bury
  • Deliver specialist training to frontline teams and champions
  • Represent health at Infant Feeding Strategy Group meetings
  • Help shape care models that reflect the UNICEF Baby Friendly Standards
  • Provide families with specialist advice that sticks and supports
  • Foster local partnerships to keep care integrated and consistent
