About the Role
This is a training opportunity with real clinical weight. As a Trainee CBT High Intensity Therapist, you’ll split your time between classroom learning and hands-on therapy delivery. With two days a week at Sheffield University, and the rest embedded within the East Riding Talking Therapy Service, you’ll be trained to deliver evidence-based CBT to clients managing anxiety, depression, and related mental health difficulties.
Your clinical work will directly support people trying to regain their footing through compassionate therapy grounded in science. And once qualified, you’ll work toward BABCP accreditation, joining a nationally recognised group of mental health specialists.
If you’re ready to balance theory with practice and make a difference where it counts, this is your next move.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High Intensity CBT while undergoing academic training
- Manage caseloads of clients with moderate to moderately severe mental health needs
- Liaise with other professionals and local services to support patient recovery
- Evaluate your clinical delivery against national standards
- Attend in-person and online academic sessions with Sheffield University
- Complete all academic and placement-based components of the course
- Stay on track for professional accreditation with the BABCP
