Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant health or social care field
- GCSEs in English and Maths or recognised equivalents
- Full UK driving licence to enable flexible work across the community
- Experience working with children and young people with mental health needs
- Strong communication and emotional resilience to support children and families
- Understanding of safeguarding and clinical risk management
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently
Salary Details
You’ll earn between 26,530 and 29,114 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
This is a people-first role with purpose. As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll engage directly with children and young people facing mental health challenges. You’ll work closely with care coordinators to provide evidence-based interventions, often right in the community where the need is greatest. Key Responsibilities
- Build therapeutic relationships with children, young people, and their families
- Support clinical interventions that help service users manage mental health needs
- Understand and manage safeguarding concerns with professionalism and care
- Work flexibly in the community to reach children where they are
- Contribute to team discussions and planning around care delivery
- Help maintain a safe, responsive, and inclusive service for all involved
