Requirements

  • Postgraduate diploma in a relevant subject or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong leadership in IT operations, service delivery, and infrastructure support
  • Background in Microsoft 365, Azure, M365, and remote technologies
  • Experience managing hypervisors, virtual servers, and secure environments

Salary Details

The offered salary band is £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This post is a critical cog in the Technical Services Team, managing a mix of server, desktop, telephony, and network services. Whether reacting to live incidents or proactively shaping system upgrades, you’ll be involved in everything from break-fix resolution to long-term planning.

You’ll be the technical escalation point for complex IT issues and the go-to person when systems go down or users need top-tier support. You’ll also lead a high-performing team, steer incident response, and keep services aligned with NHS targets. Sound like your kind of challenge?

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of server, desktop, and telephony infrastructure
  • Provide senior IT support and break-fix services across the Trust
  • Manage technical escalations and problem resolution
  • Oversee weekend or unsociable hours work and on-call duties when needed
  • Help embed secure, reliable infrastructure processes
  • Support the introduction of new technologies and tools aligned with Trust goals
  • Contribute to the Trust’s cyber and data protection strategy
