Requirements

  • A vocational Level 4 qualification in a healthcare-related subject
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications
  • Experience delivering care in clinical settings under supervision
  • Confidence in working across professional boundaries within a healthcare team
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to supervise or support junior staff
  • Understanding of evidence-based care and person-centred values
  • Local service knowledge and teaching experience are nice to have

Salary Details

This position offers a starting salary of 26,928, with room to progress up to 29,551 depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

Here’s your chance to do impactful work every day. As an AHP Technician working alongside nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, you’ll be helping patients live better, faster. Your role is hands-on. You’ll assess, support, and track the progress of individuals—always guided by the registered practitioner.

You’ll care for a defined group of patients, taking responsibility for practical aspects of care and adapting programmes as directed. Whether it’s delivering personal support, helping plan treatment, or supervising junior staff, your presence brings structure, relief, and reassurance to patients and families alike. If you’re someone who takes initiative and values meaningful care, this role will keep you growing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care for an assigned group of patients under supervision
  • Assist in patient assessments and modify care plans based on need
  • Refer patients to appropriate allied health professionals where necessary
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
  • Mentor or support junior or unregistered staff on best care practices
  • Keep accurate notes and recognise when to escalate to registered practitioners
