About the Role
This is a hands-on, people-first role where you’ll support adults with learning disabilities to live more independent, comfortable lives. As part of the community physiotherapy team, you’ll deliver tailored therapy programmes under the guidance of registered physiotherapists. That means helping someone get moving again, regain strength, or simply find more ease in everyday tasks.
You’ll carry out sessions in local homes, day centres, or clinics—wherever the individual needs you most. And while the clinical work is important, it’s the human connection that matters most. Your support helps people stay safe, mobile, and confident in their bodies.
No two days will feel the same, and that’s part of what makes it meaningful. The team will be there to guide and support you every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group physiotherapy sessions under clinical instruction
- Assist with movement, mobility assessments, and positioning techniques
- Fit and teach safe use of minor aids like walking frames
- Work independently in homes and centres, with regular supervision
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to the clinical team
- Liaise with families, carers, and other health professionals
- Handle administrative tasks to support service delivery
