Requirements

  • Active NMC registration as a Nurse or Midwife
  • Experience in women’s health or relevant acute clinical area
  • Confidence handling early pregnancy presentations like miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy
  • Strong communication skills for supporting patients and families
  • Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise urgent care
  • Passion for continuous learning and patient-centred care

Salary Details

This is a Band 6 position, with a salary range from £38,682 to £46,580 per year, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role

This role is a unique opportunity to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to women facing early pregnancy complications. You’ll work within a close-knit multidisciplinary team, providing expert triage, clinical assessment, and emotional support. Your contributions will make a real impact on how patients and their families experience early pregnancy loss or uncertainty.

Whether it’s diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy, offering reassurance, or guiding someone through a miscarriage, your expertise will help shape one of the most personal healthcare journeys a woman may face. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert care to patients with early pregnancy issues through triage and direct assessment
  • Diagnose and support cases involving bleeding, miscarriage, or ectopic pregnancy
  • Provide emotional support to women and families during critical moments
  • Collaborate with doctors, sonographers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care
  • Lead and manage your caseload while contributing to the overall flow of the service
  • Get involved in audits and improvement projects to elevate patient care
