Salary Details
This Band 2 position offers a starting salary of £24,465 per year under the NHS Agenda for Change pay scheme.
About the Role
Here’s where you come in. As a Decontamination Technician, you’ll support their Endoscopy and Community Diagnostics units by ensuring all medical equipment—especially endoscopic cameras—are properly decontaminated and ready for use. It’s work that’s often unseen but always essential.
You’ll follow best practices, handle specialist equipment, and play a key part in keeping patients safe from infection. Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and prepare medical devices used across the Trust
- Ensure all cleaning processes follow infection control standards
- Use traceability systems to track the decontamination process
- Collaborate with clinical staff to meet daily equipment needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Complete relevant records clearly and promptly
- Support the setup of the new Community Diagnostics Centre
