Requirements

  • GCSE / GCE or equivalent in English
  • Experience supporting people with complex mental health or social care needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality principles
  • Ability to work independently in community settings
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamworking skills

Salary Details

This role offers a Band 4 salary of £27,485 – £30,162 per year, aligned with NHS pay scales.

About the Role

This role sits within the Community Eating Disorder Service, where every day brings a chance to change lives. The post holder will support children, young people, and sometimes adults, working under the guidance of a Multi-Disciplinary Team. From planning and delivering one-to-one sessions at home to leading group activities in community settings, this role is about more than support. It’s about helping service users regain independence, reconnect with meaningful activities, and discover confidence in their recovery journey.

At the heart of this role is a focus on partnership. You’ll work alongside families, carers, and community resources to ensure service users don’t just receive care but build lasting skills and routines. Every plan you help deliver contributes to stronger outcomes, greater independence, and a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users in building daily living skills that foster independence
  • Deliver one-to-one and group sessions that promote recovery and wellbeing
  • Partner with carers, families, and community organisations to build holistic care pathways
  • Support physical health management such as weight monitoring and GP liaison
  • Promote equality, diversity, and respect in every interaction
  • Represent the service positively within the community and wider Trust
