Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Care Worker is desirable but not essential
- GCSE or equivalent education preferred
- Strong communication skills to build trust with clients and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, and diversity in care settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

About the Role
As a Care Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping people with mental health needs live with dignity and independence. You’ll support clients with daily routines, personal care, and meaningful activities that foster a sense of belonging and stability. Sometimes it’ll be something as simple as a walk, a chat, or sharing a hobby, but these small moments often carry the biggest impact.
You’ll also work closely with senior staff to ensure safe, person centred care. From assisting with medication to supporting someone through difficult times, your presence will bring reassurance. Each day offers a mix of responsibilities, but at the heart of it all is the chance to help people regain control over their lives and feel part of their community again.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care while promoting dignity and independence
- Encourage meaningful activities and hobbies to improve wellbeing and confidence
- Assist with medication administration under the guidance of senior staff
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, reporting any concerns promptly
- Help clients keep close ties with family, friends, and the community
- Work in line with Health and Safety regulations to protect both clients and staff
- Take part in training and staff meetings to strengthen your skills and contribute to service improvements
