• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as an engineering people manager, leading technical teams, including team building, individual development, mentorship, coaching, performance reviews, recruiting, and technical leadership.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment by cultivating a strong culture of teamwork.
  • Skills to effectively listen to, communicate with, challenge, and influence team members, peers, and senior managers, both locally and remotely.
  • Exposure to running live production systems, including triaging and resolving outages.
  • Software development experience with an object-oriented language.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale distributed system architectures.
  • Ability to contribute directly to projects through hands-on development and effective delegation.
  • Growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Desire to grow people and help engineers reach their potential.
  • Interest in learning about finance (no prior background in finance required).
  • Drive to build communities and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
