Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and Science
- Experience working with young people in an educational, vocational or clinical setting
- Confidence supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Strong communication skills with emotional intelligence and flexibility
- Willingness to collaborate within a professional multidisciplinary team
- Desirable: NVQ or higher training in education or SEMH support, experience leading group learning, knowledge of strategies to aid emotional regulation

About the Role
As a Progress Support Worker at Gloucester House, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils with complex SEMH needs reach their potential. You’ll support both academic and social development, working closely with teachers and a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils one-to-one and in groups so they can progress in learning and personal development
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored strategies that break down barriers to education
- Implement specific programmes such as phonics or therapeutic interventions to aid progress
- Maintain awareness of pupils’ learning plans and safeguarding needs to ensure safety and achievement
- Plan and deliver focused sessions that develop academic skills and social confidence
- Contribute to a positive school environment where children feel safe, understood and motivated
