Requirements
- Experience in an administrative role with proven organisational strengths
- Strong knowledge of administrative procedures and project planning techniques
- Ability to build effective systems and improve processes where needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach
- Comfortable meeting deadlines and adapting in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of primary and community care is desirable but not essential
Salary Details
This role is offered at Agenda for Change Band 4, with a salary range of £27,898 to £30,615 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
About the Role
As a Senior Administrator within the Primary and Community Care Education and Training Unit, you’ll be right at the heart of supporting education and workforce development across Wales. Day to day, you’ll provide reliable, high-level administrative support to ensure that training programmes run smoothly and efficiently.
From being the first point of contact for enquiries to keeping records accurate and accessible, your attention to detail will help teams deliver on national training priorities. The role isn’t just about paperwork, though. It’s about being part of a supportive team where your work directly contributes to better patient care by empowering the staff who provide it.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for education and training queries, ensuring people receive timely and accurate information that helps them move forward
- Provide clear advice and guidance to stakeholders, including practice managers, programme directors, and colleagues across NHS Wales, building strong working relationships
- Support the development of key workstreams such as the General Practice Nursing Programme and competency frameworks, keeping everything aligned to national timelines
- Maintain accurate data and records on SharePoint and other databases, ensuring information is both reliable and easy to access when needed
- Work flexibly within the team to ensure operational needs are met and the unit runs smoothly
