Salary Details
Salary is set at Band 4 during training. Upon successful completion of the programme and accreditation, the role will progress to Band 5 pay.

This role is an entry point into a meaningful career in mental health. As a trainee educational mental health practitioner, you’ll provide early interventions to children and young people in schools. You’ll learn how to deliver evidence-based support while working directly with education staff and families. Training takes place at Northumbria University alongside practical work in schools across Darlington and Durham. The impact of your work will be felt in classrooms, playgrounds, and family homes, giving young people the tools they need to face challenges with confidence.
