Salary Details

The role is Band 2 under the Agenda for Change pay scheme, set at £24,833 per year pro rata.

About the Role

This Health Care Assistant role is based on Glaslyn Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd, a Care of the Elderly ward. The post is designed for someone who values making a daily difference in patients’ lives.

You’ll be working alongside nurses and other staff, supporting patients with personal care, nutrition, and mobility. You’ll also monitor observations and record information accurately, which plays a key role in patient safety and recovery. Every task you complete helps ensure patients feel cared for, respected, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal and hygiene needs to ensure dignity and comfort

  • Accurately document patient information to maintain safe care standards
  • Work with the nursing team to deliver compassionate and consistent care
