Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience with modules in computer science or programming
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript or similar object-oriented language like Java or C#
- SQL skills for query and database management
- Network communication knowledge for troubleshooting
- Proven experience with Rhapsody for interface development
- Solid understanding of HL7, FHIR, XML, REST, SOAP, and MLLP
- Ability to produce clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach

About the Role
This role is about building seamless bridges between critical healthcare systems so clinicians can make faster, safer decisions for patients. Using Rhapsody as the backbone, the Senior Integration Developer designs, tests, and optimises interfaces that handle the complex flow of data across multiple platforms.
It’s not just coding in the background, it’s being the person who ensures patient records, test results, and care details are delivered in real time. By keeping systems reliable and secure, this work directly supports frontline staff in giving better care. Beyond the tech, the role also carries leadership weight: mentoring junior developers and shaping the integration roadmap for the trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test healthcare interfaces to keep information flowing reliably
- Maintain mapping tables and ensure data standards for accuracy and consistency
- Define architecture and update technical documentation to prevent downtime
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration flows to ensure stable day-to-day performance
- Liaise with clinicians, suppliers, and teams to deliver solutions that meet real needs
- Mentor junior developers to build skills and support a culture of improvement
