Requirements

  • AGORED Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or equivalent training
  • STARS stroke training or similar experience
  • Understanding of rehabilitation and its complex nature
  • Experience as a support worker or in a related field
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • UK driving licence to support community visits
  • Motivated, reliable, and compassionate with good time management

The salary is set between £27,898 and £30,615 per year, with opportunities to progress as you develop further qualifications and skills.

About the Role

The successful applicant will step into a hands-on role supporting people after stroke or brain injury. They’ll carry a delegated caseload, working closely with clinicians while helping patients in their homes and communities. The role isn’t just about following programmes, it’s about encouraging people to regain independence, confidence, and dignity.

They’ll also get the chance to support the innovative Niwrostwt Neurological Recovery College and online group sessions, giving real variety to the work. Every day brings a chance to make a difference and leave someone stronger than they were yesterday.

  • Deliver tailored rehabilitation programmes that help people return home and live well
  • Support the reduction of hospital stays by providing effective community care
  • Work closely with therapists to adapt approaches to individual needs
