Requirements

  • Registered pharmacy technician in the UK with GPhC or registered Science Manufacturing Technician
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 5–9 or equivalent (IELTS 7 if overseas)
  • Additional pharmacy qualifications such as ACPT, PIPC, TAQA assessor, CIPS level 4, or equivalent supervisory experience
  • Competency in aseptic unit operations with relevant in-house practice
  • Experience supervising staff and delivering training in pharmacy settings
  • Strong communication skills with healthcare and pharmacy colleagues

The successful candidate will deliver training and assessments for pharmacy staff, ensuring that both new starters and apprentices are well supported. Alongside the training aspect, the role involves hands on aseptic work to keep technical skills sharp and to maintain high quality service delivery. By joining the aseptic team, you’ll be supporting patient safety and service efficiency, while also helping to build the next generation of skilled pharmacy professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured training programmes for pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance and quality learning outcomes
  • Support the onboarding of new staff, making transitions smooth and effective
  • Maintain hands on technical expertise in aseptic services to uphold high standards
  • Monitor and escalate concerns promptly to sustain safe service delivery
  • Promote continuous improvement across aseptic practices, contributing to better patient outcomes
