Key Responsibilities

  • Promote independence by encouraging daily life skills and decision making
  • Provide personal care respectfully, ensuring dignity and comfort
  • Support with medication, meal preparation and health needs to maintain wellbeing
  • Encourage safe travel and money management for greater independence
  • Keep accurate records such as care plans and incident reports for accountability
  • Communicate effectively with service users, colleagues and families to build trust
  • Ensure safe environments during activities and minimise risks in emergencies
  • Uphold confidentiality and protect personal data in line with regulations
  • Contribute to safeguarding and equal opportunities by following all policies
