About the Role

As an HSDU Technician, you’ll handle the vital process of cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments used across the Trust. Your role ensures every patient receives safe and effective care. You’ll follow precise operating procedures, maintain quality standards, and support the department’s accreditation under ISO13485 and ISO9001. It’s steady work that really matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and decontaminate medical devices to support patient safety
  • Prepare, pack, and label items ready for sterilisation
  • Perform daily checks on equipment to keep systems reliable
  • Follow operating procedures that maintain compliance and quality standards
  • Work closely with colleagues to keep the service efficient and responsive
