Requirements
- Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with a BABCP-accredited Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions
- Registered with or working towards BABCP accreditation (within six months of qualifying)
- Proven experience delivering evidence-based Step 2 interventions in an IAPT or Talking Therapies setting
- Skilled in assessment, risk management, and guided self-help techniques
- Strong communication and IT skills with the ability to build therapeutic relationships
- Committed to providing person-centred, high-quality mental health care

This Band 5 position offers a salary range of £31,049 to £37,796 per annum, following the Agenda for Change pay scheme.
About the Role
As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatments for people experiencing depression and anxiety disorders. You’ll balance clinical assessments with direct intervention through Guided Self Help, psychoeducation courses, and online programmes. Every interaction matters—you’ll help clients feel heard, capable, and supported in their recovery.
You’ll work within the Harrogate & Ripon Talking Therapies team, blending remote and in-person sessions to reach people where they are. The Trust values continuous development, so you’ll have access to robust supervision, innovative practices, and professional networks to keep your skills sharp.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured Step 2 interventions using NICE-approved techniques that drive measurable outcomes
- Conduct psychological assessments that inform tailored treatment plans
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions in person and online
- Monitor client progress, ensuring timely adjustments and supportive communication
- Maintain high standards of documentation, confidentiality, and data accuracy
- Contribute to service innovation and feedback processes that improve care delivery
