Requirements
- Professional Registration: Registered with HCPC, Nursing and Midwifery Council, or Social Work England (or soon eligible)
- Qualifications: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or BABCP-accredited CBT qualification with a Core Profession (Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy)
- Experience: Work with clients who have eating disorders or complex mental health needs
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings
- Mobility: Access to a vehicle for work purposes or flexibility to travel within service areas
Salary Details
Band 7, dependent on experience, with pro-rata for part-time staff.
About the Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting adults with eating disorders through evidence-based therapy and collaborative care planning. Whether you’re a newly qualified practitioner or an experienced clinician, this role offers room to grow, learn, and make a lasting impact.
You’ll provide psychological assessments, deliver interventions such as CBT-E and MANTRA, and work closely with clients, families, and community teams to foster recovery. The work spans individual therapy, group interventions, and consultation with wider services — blending autonomy with teamwork.
You’ll also contribute to service improvement through audits and research while shaping the development of future care pathways. Every case you manage moves the service closer to its mission of accessible, compassionate psychological care for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured psychological therapies to adults with eating disorders to support recovery goals
- Act as care coordinator when required to ensure consistent, person-centred care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to align treatment plans and progress reviews
- Offer consultation and guidance to colleagues to enhance clinical outcomes
- Engage in clinical supervision and professional development to maintain best practice standards
- Contribute to audits and service evaluations to strengthen quality improvement efforts
