About the Role

As a Senior Platform Lifecycle Engineer, you’ll take ownership of assessing, maintaining, and optimising the digital platforms that power essential NHS services. This role goes beyond routine maintenance. It’s about improving performance, reducing downtime, and ensuring every platform supports better patient outcomes.

You’ll work across both on-premise and cloud environments, guiding the lifecycle of systems from design to decommission. If you’re someone who thrives on solving complex challenges and finds meaning in work that impacts real lives, this role will fit you perfectly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and optimise digital platforms to extend performance and reliability
  • Plan and implement upgrades or replacements that keep systems secure and compliant
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to prevent service interruptions that affect patient care
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to align platform operations with healthcare delivery
  • Monitor and maintain cloud and on-premise environments for scalability and cost efficiency
  • Lead lifecycle management strategies to improve resilience and system health
