Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in application development, ideally within complex systems
  • Proven ability to develop and implement digital applications independently
  • Sound understanding of web technologies, systems, and architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desirable: Experience in Microsoft 365 development or project management

Salary Details

This position is graded at Band 8a, with a salary range of £55,690 to £62,682 per year, based on experience and in line with NHS Agenda for Change pay scales.

About the Role

As a Digital Applications Developer, you’ll play a key role in configuring and improving the Trust’s digital systems to meet their digital strategy and operational goals. You’ll collaborate with clinical teams, system suppliers, and care groups to design efficient workflows that enhance service delivery and support patient outcomes.

You’ll analyse existing “as is” processes, design “to be” models, and lead system configuration to bring them to life. From integrating digital applications to refining business processes, your work will shape how care is delivered across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement digital workflows that align with strategic goals and improve patient outcomes
  • Configure and optimise Trust-wide digital systems based on business and clinical requirements
  • Analyse and document existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure all digital developments comply with Trust policies and standards
  • Work closely with technical teams to understand data interfaces and system integrations
  • Support continuous improvement through innovation and shared learning
