Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health Care or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent functional skills).
  • Completion of the ESHT Care Certificate.
  • Minimum two years of Band 3 clinical experience.
  • Good IT proficiency and ability to handle patient data securely.

This Band 4 role offers £27,485 to £30,162 per annum, pro rata under the Agenda for Change pay scheme.

About the Role

As an Associate Practitioner in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, you’ll work alongside specialist physiotherapists delivering rehabilitation and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You’ll help run group rehabilitation sessions, assist with treatment progression, and monitor patient outcomes. You’ll also support service improvement by maintaining data quality and safety standards through the ASURE system.

This apprenticeship-based position offers a fully funded Level 5 Foundation Degree, helping you move into a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner role upon completion. With mentorship from experienced clinicians and support from the Trust Education Department, you’ll build both skill and confidence in physiotherapy practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of physiotherapy treatment plans that help patients regain function and independence.
  • Lead or assist group rehabilitation classes for chronic low back pain and knee osteoarthritis to improve patient mobility and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and data to track outcomes and inform care decisions.
  • Perform health and safety audits to ensure patient and staff safety across sites.
  • Contribute to team meetings and quality improvement initiatives that enhance care standards.
  • Uphold Trust values in every patient interaction, ensuring empathy, professionalism, and inclusion.
