Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with active UK professional registration.
  • Post-registration development in acute or frailty medicine.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on team growth.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and clinical judgement.
  • Compassionate, flexible, and motivated with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Desirable: Degree, ILS Course, or Frailty Qualification.

This is a Band 6 NHS role with a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per year, dependent on experience.

The Sister Acute Frailty Unit post is a 6-month maternity cover offering an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced nurse passionate about improving outcomes for frail patients. You’ll provide professional nursing leadership, guide junior staff, and ensure high standards of care. Working closely with the ward leader, you’ll help shape a culture built on respect, inclusion, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
