Requirements

  • Proven experience as a RAF Painter & Finisher or equivalent Aircraft/Automotive Body Shop painter
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong attention to following defined procedures and instructions
  • Ideally, NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering (Surface Finish Pathway) or equivalent
  • Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and quality standards

This position calls for a skilled Paint Sprayer to carry out precise painting and finishing tasks across aircraft, components, and MoD ground assets. You’ll handle surface preparation, paint stripping, and application using modern equipment while meeting exacting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finish aircraft and MoD assets to the highest standard to ensure safety and longevity
  • Apply paint schemes using modern spray equipment, ensuring consistent and durable finishes
  • Follow all Health, Safety, and COSHH procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Store and handle paints according to safety and environmental guidelines
  • Identify and report defects or potential quality issues to protect operational integrity
  • Promote a culture of safety by challenging unsafe behaviours and reporting risks
