Requirements

  • Registered Paediatric Nurse (RSCN or Child Branch Qualification)
  • ENB 998 or C&G 730 (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience delivering education and training in healthcare settings
  • Background in complex paediatric care including tracheostomies, gastrostomies, and epilepsy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate across agencies and services
  • Desirable: Nursing degree, community work experience, knowledge of budget management

Salary Details

This is a Band 6 role with a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, dependent on experience.

About the Role

This role offers the chance to make an impact where it matters most — in children’s lives. As a Teach Team Clinical Educator, you’ll co-ordinate the annual training programme for education staff supporting children with complex health needs. You’ll collaborate with training leads across the county to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to care.

You’ll deliver bespoke multi-agency training, working closely with schools, health professionals, and community partners to ensure every child’s health and education needs are met. This position calls for someone dynamic, compassionate, and ready to shape the next generation of care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the annual education and training programme for staff working with children with complex needs, ensuring consistency across Derbyshire
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to promote the wellbeing of children with health needs and epilepsy
  • Deliver bespoke training sessions that empower education and care staff to provide safe, effective care
  • Act as an advocate for children, ensuring their voices and needs are represented in every aspect of care
  • Support and maintain a culture of continuous learning within the paediatric nursing community
