Requirements
- HCPC registration with a BSc in Podiatry or equivalent
- At least 2 years of NHS experience
- Experience managing foot ulceration and diabetic care
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and IT skills
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits
Salary Details
Band 6: £38,682 – £46,580 per annum (pro rata) plus High Cost Area Supplement of 15% (minimum £4,313, maximum £5,436 per year)
About the Role
This part-time Specialist Podiatrist role offers the chance to deliver high-quality care across clinics, homes, and community hubs in Redbridge and Waltham Forest. You’ll assess, treat, and manage patients with complex podiatric conditions—from diabetic ulceration to autoimmune foot complications.
Beyond clinical expertise, this role values connection and collaboration. You’ll mentor colleagues, share insights, and strengthen ties with GPs, nurses, and patients. It’s a chance to make a real difference in a community that relies on your care and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist wound care to high-risk patients across hospital, community, and domiciliary settings
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to support long-term foot health
- Offer expert advice to other healthcare professionals and patients
- Participate in audits and quality improvement projects to drive better outcomes
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the learning culture within the team
