Requirements

  • You are a qualified Nursing Associate with a Level 5 Foundation Degree.
  • You hold a valid NMC Registration to practise professionally.
  • You have an understanding of the Nursing Associate role and its scope.
  • You possess the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • You can prioritise your workload and provide care for a group of people.
  • You are able to problem solve and take on board new ideas.
  • You have a proficient understanding of medicine administration and calculations.

Salary Details
The salary for this role is £27,485 to £30,162 per annum, and it is pro rata for part time positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and undertake observations to ensure any changes in a child’s condition are promptly reported.
  • Establish effective communication with children and their families to provide reassurance and clear information about their care.
  • Accurately document all patient care to maintain high standards of record keeping in line with NMC guidelines.
  • Follow treatment plans and administer medication safely to deliver effective and timely interventions.
  • Promote a safe and healthy environment for children, young people, and their families throughout their stay.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times to uphold the trust and privacy of every patient and family.
