Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in Health and Safety roles within construction, field-based, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and industry safety standards.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Southern UK sites.
- Valid UK driving licence required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to coach, influence, and motivate teams.
- Ability to manage change and drive a positive safety culture across the business.

About the Role
As an Environmental Health Safety Specialist, you’ll be the bridge between people, safety, and performance. You’ll ensure compliance with local laws, shape proactive safety practices, and help senior leaders turn EHS strategies into action. Your work will keep employees safe, protect the environment, and strengthen business resilience.
You’ll lead site safety initiatives, conduct inspections, coach teams, and manage investigations to prevent workplace incidents. You’ll be the voice of environmental awareness, translating complex standards into practical solutions that drive real impact across projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide EHS guidance and support across field service and sales teams.
- Coach management teams to strengthen their understanding of safety responsibilities.
- Lead investigations into incidents to identify causes and corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs that inspire safe behavior.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure timely completion of corrective measures.
- Support EHS certification renewals and maintain compliance records.
- Manage subcontractor performance to meet EHS standards.
- Champion Carrier’s Lead with Safety Commitments and promote shared accountability.
