Salary Details

Band 3 NHS salary range from £24,937 to £26,598 per annum, with standard NHS pension and benefits.

About the Role

You’ll join the Aintree Hospital Emergency Department, the regional Major Trauma Centre serving Cheshire and Merseyside. It’s a fast-paced, high-impact environment where no two shifts feel the same. You’ll support registered nurses with direct patient care — from helping patients maintain comfort and dignity to assisting with procedures, observations, and mobility. Every action you take supports critical recovery and saves time in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition to maintain comfort and dignity
  • Record vital observations and communicate changes promptly to nurses
  • Support wound dressing, specimen collection, and non-complex procedures
  • Prepare patients and treatment areas for investigations and recovery
  • Provide emotional reassurance and clear communication during high-pressure moments
  • Escort patients safely to other wards or hospitals when needed
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards across all care activities

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
