Requirements
- Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or equivalent qualification.
- BABCP accreditation (or working towards it within one year).
- Experience managing a caseload within NHS Talking Therapy or mental health services.
- Strong understanding of anxiety and depression in primary care.
- Ability to work flexibly and travel across Durham and Darlington.

Band 7: £47,810 – £54,710 (pro rata per annum)
About the Role
You’ll deliver high-intensity CBT interventions to adults experiencing anxiety or depression. Each session you provide helps someone regain stability, purpose, and confidence. You’ll manage your own caseload, offer both remote and face-to-face sessions, and work closely with other therapists to ensure seamless care. The role blends autonomy with teamwork, giving you a space to grow professionally while making measurable impact in your community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide CBT interventions to adults with depression and anxiety.
- Manage a structured caseload, ensuring timely and effective therapy delivery.
- Contribute to team meetings and collaborative case discussions.
- Record clinical outcomes and meet performance targets that improve patient access.
- Support the service by offering flexible clinic hours where needed.
