- Degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy with valid UK registration
- Understanding of evidence-based clinical practice and communication interventions

Salary Details
This Band 5 post offers a salary between £31,049 and £37,796 per annum, with full NHS pension and benefits.
About the Role
This is a hands-on opportunity to work with children across Hull and East Riding who have a range of communication needs. You’ll deliver assessments, therapy sessions, and tailored interventions within mainstream and special schools, pre-schools, and clinics. Every session helps a child express themselves more clearly, connect better with others, and thrive in education.
You’ll also work closely with families, teachers, and other professionals, shaping a joined-up approach to care. The Trust’s hybrid working model supports flexible planning and wellbeing, giving you space to manage caseloads effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language interventions that improve children’s communication and confidence
- Support teachers, parents, and carers through training and practical guidance
- Manage a personal caseload with autonomy and accountability
- Maintain high-quality, evidence-based documentation and clinical standards
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate child-centred care
- Contribute to the Trust’s quality improvement and service development goals
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. The disclosure will include checks against barred lists for working with children.
