Salary Details
This role offers a Band 7 salary at £48,527 to £55,532 per year pro rata.
About the Role
This part time role focuses on guiding the nursing team in the Emergency Department at Withybush General Hospital. You will help create a learning environment where nurses feel supported as they sharpen their assessment skills respond to pressure and deliver safe care. They are looking for someone who brings warmth clarity and patience. Someone who can spot learning gaps quickly and help people close them without losing confidence.
You will work with senior sisters the Senior Nurse Manager and the Deputy Head of Nursing to make sure everyone has access to the right training at the right moment. From core emergency skills to nationally recognised learning activities you will help nurses stay competent and steady in fast moving situations.
This role suits a nurse who loves seeing people grow. If you enjoy breaking down complex skills into simple steps and cheering nurses on as they build independence you will feel at home here.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate a structured programme that gives every nurse access to core and optional training which boosts competency and confidence
• Deliver learning sessions including accredited activities that strengthen emergency care practice
• Work closely with newly qualified nurses so they build safe habits early and understand their own development needs
• Support the team in using guidelines and policies correctly so patients receive consistent care
• Act as a visible point of support in the department so nurses feel encouraged to ask for help when needed
• Model best practice so learners can see safe effective care in real time
• Help maintain a culture where ongoing learning feels normal and achievable
