Salary Details
This role sits at Band 3 with an annual salary between 24937 and 26598 based on experience.
About the Role
This role focuses on day to day care for people living with diabetes who need close support during their stay. You will help assess plan and review care with guidance from a registered nurse. Many patients will rely on you for personal care feeding pressure area support and reassurance during tough moments. You will help create a calm environment and keep things running smoothly by preparing beds organising spaces and reporting concerns early. The work matters because every small action keeps patients safe and comfortable during uncertain times.
You will also support junior colleagues which helps build confidence and teamwork on Ward 25. If you enjoy being part of a group that works with purpose and cares deeply about people you may find this role rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
• Support daily patient care to maintain dignity and comfort
• Help with assessments so nurses have accurate information
• Prepare bed spaces to keep the ward safe and ready for new arrivals
• Assist with feeding and personal care which helps patients recover faster
• Report changes in a patient’s condition so issues are picked up early
• Support visitors and families during stressful moments
• Handle patient property with care and attention
• Guide new staff so they feel confident and supported
• Maintain safe disposal of waste to protect patients and colleagues
