Support Worker Role in Swansea: Make a Difference with Pobl Group

As a Support Worker, you will join a team that provides round-the-clock care. The position requires flexibility, including working days, evenings, weekends, and night shifts as part of a rolling rota. Our team ensures you get every other weekend off to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Due to the needs of those we support, having a full UK manual driving license is essential.

In this role, you will work with six males who have physical disabilities, each living in their own self-contained flat within our complex. Your responsibilities will include helping them with daily activities, enhancing their skills, and providing emotional support. We emphasize a “do with, not for” approach, promoting independence and personal growth. You’ll engage in activities like gym visits, football matches, and surfing, making a tangible impact on their lives.

As part of the Pobl team, you’ll be involved in daily living tasks such as medication administration, cooking, and personal care. You’ll also support community access and participation in local groups. Your role will include assisting with budgeting, companionship, and encouraging participation in life-enhancing activities. A key aspect of the job is to bring fresh ideas to improve our support strategies.

We welcome candidates with or without prior experience in supporting individuals with physical or mental health needs, as we provide comprehensive training. What matters most is your passion for making a difference, your ability to work independently, and your enthusiasm for being part of a team.

We offer competitive pay at £12.15 per hour, with additional rates for wakeful nights and sleep-in shifts.
