The Role:
- Hands-On Management: Oversee and manage a team of 10 engineers to ensure the smooth running of the maintenance department.
- Maintenance Oversight: Ensure effective maintenance of site machinery, respond to breakdowns, and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
- Compensation: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum, including annual bonus, overtime opportunities, 8% pension, 36 days of holiday, company benefits, and potential relocation support and/or sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the maintenance team to maintain high standards of operation.
- Overseeing the daily maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery.
- Reacting promptly to machinery breakdowns and ensuring quick resolutions.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline maintenance processes and improve overall productivity.
The Person:
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a maintenance department.
- Mechanical Bias: Strong background in mechanical maintenance engineering.
- Industry Background: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
