Role Overview:
A leading Central Government Institution is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the development, testing, and production of machine learning and AI models within the data science team. The role primarily focuses on data cleansing aspects of a Scanning and Transcription programme, developing a baseline solution using various AI and deep-learning methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and production of machine learning and AI models.
- Focus on data cleansing for a Scanning and Transcription programme.
- Develop baseline solutions using AI and deep-learning techniques.
- Collaborate with the data science team to ensure high-quality model deployment.
Experience Requirements:
- Python Proficiency: High-quality production-grade Python coding skills with experience using libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, Pydantic, etc.
- Database Management: Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL. Ability to write and understand SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational (SQL) data stores.
- AWS Cloud Technologies: Proficient in using AWS services including S3, Lambda functions, AWSTextract, CodeCommit, Cloud9, SageMaker, etc.
- AI and Data Science Expertise: Proven experience in data wrangling, data visualization, natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, and statistical inference.
