Job Description:
B & H Care is a care provider based in Ipswich, Suffolk. We are a passionate team looking to expand and are seeking carers and support workers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing care to clients in their own homes
- Assisting service users with getting up, bathing, dressing, and preparing for their day
- Serving meals to service users and assisting with feeding as required
- Undertaking light cleaning and domestic duties, including meal preparation
- Assisting service users with their environment and day-to-day activities
- Monitoring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other physical conditions as required
- Making recommendations for changes and improvements to a service user’s care
- Assisting service users in accordance with their care plans
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals such as District Nurses as required
- Maintaining confidential client files, preparing reports, and inputting information into the organization’s IT systems
- Assisting with prescribed medication
- Moving and handling clients
- Bathing clients, preparing meals, cleaning rooms, and linens
Entry/Key Requirements:
- Must have a driving licence
- Must be willing to relocate to Suffolk
- Experience in helping others or caring for the sick and/or injured
- Studying or wanting to study towards a Level 2 Certificate
- Good communication skills, pleasant and organized individual, adaptable
- Ability to problem solve and seek the best possible solutions under stress, while remaining polite and respectful
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
