Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold an Honours Degree or Diploma in Social Work or a Qualification in Social Work recognized by Social Work England.
  • Registration with Social Work England before applying.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a social worker with children and families.
  • Valid driving licence.

Application Process

Shortlisting is conducted monthly. Candidates who are shortlisted will complete a written assessment, followed by a competency-based interview via video technology. Recruitment is done in cohorts, with the next cohort starting in January 2025.

Relocation

Norfolk County Council offers a certificate of sponsorship and a relocation allowance of up to £10,000 to support the move to Norfolk. This includes reimbursement for flights and visa costs, temporary accommodation arrangements, and airport transfers. Practical support and advice are provided to ensure a smooth relocation.
