Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an OT in our Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team, you will:

  • Provide specialist neurological rehabilitation services, covering inpatient stroke and neuro rehab, early supported discharge, and outpatient rehabilitation.
  • Work as part of a large, friendly, and dynamic team across various sites, delivering specialist, client-centered rehabilitation.
  • Utilize your technical skills to assess and treat your caseload of stroke and neurological patients.
  • Participate in flexible working programs across the organization to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Receive supervision and training to support your professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • A minimum of 12 months of acute clinical experience, including older people’s medicine, frail elderly, neurology, and trauma and orthopedics.
  • Experience in team or service development, as well as supporting and supervising junior therapists, students, and assistants.
  • A good understanding of current legislation and its application to Occupational Therapy.
