ILS Case Management in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join their complex care team. This role involves providing essential care and support to a severely disabled young man in a fully adapted modern annexe within a family home. The Support Worker will be a crucial part of the home care team, significantly impacting the young man’s daily life and ongoing well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care
- Assisting with moving and handling
- Medication administration and care note recording
- Supporting daily living activities
- Engaging in physiotherapy and/or multi-sensory programs (desirable)
- Gastro feeding (desirable)
- Offering emotional and social support

Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous care experience
- Competence in personal care tasks
- Experience in moving and handling
- Ability to administer medication and record care notes
Desirable:
- Experience with gastro feeding
- Experience in physiotherapy and/or multi-sensory programs
- Qualifications in caring for children or young people with severe disabilities
Duration and Location
- Permanent, part-time position
- Located in Cambridge, CB3
- Hours: 12-14 per week, either 2 x 2.30pm-9.30pm shifts or a 12-hour shift from 9.30am-9.30pm
Compensation
- £14.00 per hour for weekdays
- £16.00 per hour for weekends and waking nights
- £28.00 per hour (double rate) for Bank Holidays
- Regular overtime opportunities, especially during school breaks
