Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (with a minimum of 5 A-E qualifications including Maths and English).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience/development.
  • Experience of working with individuals who have experienced mental illness in a residential, community, or in-patient care setting.
  • Previous experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting in a paid or voluntary position.

About the Role

The Health Care Assistant will undertake tasks in delivering patient care, rehabilitation, or social care as directed by service professionals. They will assist nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team by carrying out delegated aspects of personal patient care. The role involves physical observation, progressing patient treatment, care planning, and accurately communicating any changes that affect the individual.

  • Maintaining timely and accurate records of work undertaken.
