Wigan Warriors have announced their 21-man squad for the highly anticipated Magic Weekend derby against St Helens. This year’s Super League showcase event will make its debut at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United, with Wigan and St Helens set to clash in the centerpiece game on Saturday.
Head coach Matt Peet has made two notable changes to his lineup. England international Harry Smith will be absent due to suspension. The 24-year-old playmaker received a three-match ban after being found guilty of a Grade E striking charge earlier this week.
In another change, fellow playmaker Ryan Hampshire has also been dropped from the squad. Making his return is young hooker Tom Forber, who has recovered from an ankle injury and rejoined the senior team. Additionally, Academy prospect Taylor Kerr has been named in the squad, bringing fresh energy to the lineup.
