About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work within dedicated multi-disciplinary teams, providing individualized care, assisting with patient hygiene and dressing, and meeting nutritional needs while maintaining dignity and respect. You will contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the environment and keep good documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Carry out ward clerical and IT tasks as required
  • Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and tidiness of the ward area
  • Meet all aspects of ward catering
  • Maintain patient dignity
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care
  • Organize and plan day-to-day workload to meet job demands
  • Support new or less experienced colleagues
  • Participate in training and development activities relevant to the job role
  • Use physical effort to carry out job demands (e.g., pushing and pulling trolleys, supporting patients)
