Job Description

Oakwoods Care Home is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Care Assistant to guide and support their care team. This role involves a high level of responsibility, including managing and administering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans, mentoring staff, and overseeing the smooth operation of a specific floor during each shift. The Senior Care Assistant will ensure that high standards of care are maintained at all times and that the home adheres to necessary procedures and requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Diploma/NVQ Level 2 and/or 3 in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards it).
  • At least one year of work experience as a carer or senior in a care home setting.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in managing and administering medication.
  • Ability to review and update care plans, conduct staff supervisions, and complete return-to-work discussions.
