About the Role
The Assistant Cook will assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for patients, staff, and functions. Responsibilities include producing patient sandwiches, salads, cold sweets, and children’s meals. The role involves working 5 days out of 7, including weekends, on a 3-week rolling rota with shifts from 6 am to 2 pm and 10 am to 6 pm.

Requirements
- Basic food hygiene qualification (Level 2).
- Experience in preparing and cooking a broad range of food items.
- Knowledge of catering equipment and basic knife skills.

Key Responsibilities
